Committees

Whereabouts Committee and Appeal Committee
The members of the Whereabouts Committee and Appeal Committee are appointed by the Board of Directors in Anti-Doping Norway.

Both the Whereabouts Committee and Appeal Committee are comprised of top level athletes or former top level athletes and members with legal competence. Both Committees are independent of the Administration and is given the authority to make decisions of filing failures or declare a missed test. The athlete given a filing failure or a declared missed test from the Whereabouts Committee is entitled to file a complaint to be handled by the Appeal Committee.

Medical Committee
The Medical Committee, dealing with medical issues, was established as an advisory committee for Anti-Doping Norway.

The Committee’s main tasks are to update the doping list and handle TUE applications that will result in an approval or a denial of the application.

The Committee shall also inform of existing projects or suggest new projects that may contribute in developing proper control routines and/or analytical methods to reveal the use of doping and prohibited substances or methods. This also concerns research and development (R&D) projects that may strengthen the anti-doping activities from a medical point of view.
